The Log Files grid shows information on all log files in the selected databases.

The Log Files grid displays the following information:

Database Name

The name of the specified database.

File

The name of the log file.

File Group

The name of the file group to which the file belongs.

Type

The type of log file.

Total MB

The size of the log file.

Used MB

The amount of the used space in the log.

Free MB

The size of the currently unused space in the log file.

AutoGrow

Whether the log file can grow automatically as it fills.

Growths remaining

Number of times the file can grow before it can grow no more.

Max Size

The maximum size that the log file can grow to.

Growth Inc

Growth increment. The amount by which the log file can AutoGrow at any one time.

Can Grow

If the log file can grow.

Path

The location of the log file.

Virtual Log Files Count

Count of the number of Virtual Log Files as sourced from vlfcount procedure SQLVirtualLogFilesCount

Free Pct

The percentage of the log file that is free.

Used Pct

The percentage of the log file that is used.

How to restrict the files included in the charts

In the Spotlight Client, to restrict the files included in the charts, highlight just the records you are interested in. Hold down the Shift key to select a block of multiple files or the CTRL key to select individual files.
