In emailing a request for assistance, be sure to include a support bundle.
To create the support bundle from the Spotlight Client
- Click Help | Support Bundle.
- Select whether to capture logs from the current install (recommended) or all historical logs. The historical logs are large and usually not required.
- We suggest collections from the Spotlight Diagnostic Server be included in the Support Bundle, however you can choose not to include them. In a federated environment you can choose to include collections from all or selected Spotlight Diagnostic Servers.
- Click Collect.
- Select whether to open the folder containing the Support Bundle file or email the Support Bundle direct to Quest.
Note: If you select the option to email the Support Bundle direct to Quest then there is a place for you to enter the service request ID within the email. Be sure to first Configure support bundle emails.
